Our Beginning

Growing up in a small village in India, food was made slowly and honestly. Ghee was churned by hand, milk came from free-grazing cattle, and oils were pressed fresh from seeds grown in our fields. Every meal carried the story of where it came from.

Over time, modern living distanced us from this purity. Convenience replaced care, and food lost its connection to its source.

Village Company was born from a desire to bring that connection back—to reconnect homes with the wisdom, simplicity, and integrity of India's villages.

The Heart of Our Brand

Our products come directly from real Indian villages, made with traditional methods preserved by families over generations. Each ingredient tells a story of heritage, patience, and respect for the land.

From Kerala's Coconut Groves

Our cold-pressed coconut oil is sourced from small family farms nestled in Kerala's lush backwaters. Processed slowly using traditional wooden presses, with no heat and no chemicals, each batch preserves the pure essence of coconuts grown with generational care. These farmers have tended their groves for decades, respecting the land and the rhythm of nature.

Bilona Ghee from Village Dairies

Made by hand-churning curd in the ancient bilona method, our ghee is slow-heated in earthen pots over firewood. This time-intensive, traditional process honors centuries of wisdom. The milk comes from indigenous cows that graze freely in open pastures, cared for by families who have practiced this craft for generations.

Wood-Pressed Oils from Traditional Mills

Our sesame, groundnut, and mustard oils are extracted using wooden ghani presses that rotate slowly, generating no heat and preserving every drop of natural aroma. These mills have been run by the same families for decades, passing down the knowledge of perfect pressure and timing from one generation to the next.
